Wedding Planning

Are you planning on getting married in the next few months? Do you know exactly what are you supposed to do before that very big day of yours? Here are brief tips for you to make your wedding day special with the correct organization. First things first, if you have another six months before your wedding date, set your budget. Think about the type of wedding that you want. Either formal, informal or grand. Make sure not to over spend it because it will only make your life miserable. Next, reserve your ceremony and reception sites. Make sure that your guests would not exceed the capacity of the ceremony. The most important thing that you should do these months before your wedding date is to order or rent your wedding attires and accessories, including veil and shoes. Do survey the prices of the packages from shop to shop. This will help you a lot! Book the package that interest you the most and you are just a step away towards your big day.

Time pasts, and you are just 4 months away from your wedding day. The question is, have you been doing your job organizing your plans? Purchase a wedding ring if you have not done so. Book the date for your pre-wedding photography, preferably, more than 3 months before your wedding day. Don’t forget to discuss about the details of your wedding invitation cards and distribute it early to your guests.

One to two months ahead before your wedding day. This is the time where you would want to discuss the menus with your caterer. If you have Muslim friends, be sure that the menu consists of non-halal and halal foods. Make an early reservation with your caterer, but do not forget to update the caterer if you have any change of mind about the menu. Schedule your rehearsals time and rehearsal dinner and don’t forget to choose the readings for the ceremony. Make sure to obtain your marriage license and request for certified copies. If you intend to change your name, prepare the necessary documents. Purchase a guestbook and don’t feel shy to discuss about the hairstyle and make-up with your make-up artist.

In two weeks before the big day, you might want to have your final fitting of your wedding gowns and such. Notify your caterer of the confirmed number of guests that you have in mind to invite. Begin the seating plans and write place cards. Finalize it, and assign specific people with specific responsibilities during your wedding day such as handing out the corsages to the guests.

One week to go. You might want to pick up your wedding attires that you rent from the bridal shop and update the caterer about the final guest and vendor meal counts. Arrange your transport for the ceremony and reception. You don’t want to end up late coming to the event, won’t you?

Tomorrow is your wedding day. What should you do? Are you feeling nervous? Don’t be….. Instead, go for manicure and pedicure. You might want to get those lovely fingers cleaned and healthy. Make your payments and that’s it. You can relax now for the rest of the day. =)

On your wedding day, the most important thing to do is just RELAX… and SMILE….. Enjoy yourselves. Have fun with the atmosphere, love your hair, love the gowns, love the car, love the shoes, love the guests, love your partner and don’t forget to say thank you to those involved  making  your  day a big success.

=) Hope these tips is somewhat useful to those getting married have an idea about the particulars should be done. Cheers! May God bless your journey. ... =)
